One on One Research Help

We can give you a free, 30 minute session with your own private librarian to help you get started on your research paper. We can help with anything from finding a topic to finding the information.

The Bull Run Teen Lounge

Come on back to the Community Room for some down time. No organized activities, but there will be electronic games, board games, snacks, and conversation space for you and your friends. Come for a five minute break or stay for the whole time.

Pokémon Saturday

All kids in first grade and up are welcome to come for playing or for watching Pokemon activities. You can trade cards, play the card game, or bring your Gameboy or Nintendo DS and join the wireless group. Anything Pokémon is welcome. Teen Pokémon experts are encouraged to attend as well. Help us pass

on the knowledge! Parents of first and second graders are expected to remain in the room. Parents of third and fourth graders are expected to remain in the building.

Dungeons and Dragons

Would you like to know what this role playing game is all about? Do you already know how much fun it is? Come to this first meeting of what we hope will be an ongoing club. It will be the role playing paper and pencil version of the game, using the 4th edition of Dungeons and Dragons. All equipment will be provided. There will be an experienced Dungeon Master to take you on your adventure. If you are interested but the time and day is not convenient for you, call Debby Bruce at 703-792-4863 and tell her what would work better for you.

Pottery Painting YA Family Craft

  • Saturday, November 14, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
  • For grades 6–12 and their families (no one under eight years please).

Come “paint” unglazed pottery items suitable for gifts. The Claytime Café staff will take your masterpieces back to their kilns for firing, and return them in time for the holidays. This fun program is free, but a $10 deposit is required to reserve each group's space. The deposit will be returned to participants at the end of the program or if the registration is cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the program.

Sign up begins November 1.
