Romance in the Afternoon ClubLoving Frank by Nancy Horan
Please join us as we discuss Nancy Horan's historically imagined novel, Loving Frank. This first novel is a fictionalized portrayal of Mamah Borthwick Cheney, the woman often credited with wrecking Frank Lloyd Wright's first marriage. Cheney, a married woman with two children, pursued her intellectual interests and love for Frank at great personal cost when her affair with Wright, the architectural visionary, deeply scandalized early 20th century America. Horan's vision is even handed with heartbreaking moments as this love story unfolds deeply marred by personal and professional tragedy.
Attendees are welcome to bring their lunches. No registration required. New members always welcome.
